IYC is expanding the experiences of our young chefs by hosting activities and services that are geared towards nutrition education, positive community involvement, cultural enrichment.

Each month International Young Chefs host clinics and classes that encourage our young aspiring cooks to unleash their inner Chefs through engaging, challenging, and fun activities like preparing healthy no bake/no cooking dishes, researching and creating menu/recipes, and learning about different cooking techniques. By building on their interest for cooking we establish a foundation of engagement that fosters a constructive environment for them to explore, learn, and grow.

Community involvement and engagement takes place on different levels. Some of our participants are involved with cooking activities through their local school systems, we have older kids who help mentor and engage with the younger participants. One of our biggest community initiatives is our annual “Healthy Lunch” drive where we give lunch boxes to the community as well as host clinics and demonstrations on how to prepare healthy no cooking, no bake lunches that the children can prepare for themselves often time with limited or no guidance

One of the most exciting components of IYC's program is cultural enrichment. We incorporate researching and learning about the history, customs, and culinary contributions of different countries. For the kids the highlights of our program is an annual trip where the kids get to submerge themselves into the culture and experience what they’ve learned. Many of these children haven't even been out of their birth state.
